Who We Are

Beautifully Built
Cabinets, Made Right
Here in the Okanagan

Kekuli Bay Cabinetry is 100% Canadian-owned and operated. Our team of experienced designers, skilled craftspersons, and dedicated staff work closely with clients to turn ideas into high-quality cabinetry. Many team members have been with us since the early days, contributing hands-on expertise and consistency.

Under the leadership of owners Maarten Koorn and TJ Weidema, we continue to blend proven craftsmanship with modern technology — delivering precise, well-built cabinetry for homeowners, builders, and renovators across the Okanagan and beyond.

  • 100% Canadian-owned and operated — proudly serving the Okanagan since 1998
  • Award-winning craftsmanship combining elegant design and precision engineering
  • Experienced in-house design team across Vernon and Kelowna showrooms
  • Sustainable practices and locally sourced materials wherever possible
  • Full-service Kekuli Complete option for comprehensive renovation support

Our story began in 1998 when founder Ed Huber launched Huber's Heritage Furniture Inc. in Salmon Arm, BC. By 2004, the company had grown into one of BC's largest handcrafted furniture makers. In 2005, we expanded into cabinetry, opening our Vernon facility. Our name, Kekuli (sʔístkn), refers to a traditional winter home built by Indigenous peoples of BC's Interior — representing shelter, gathering, and connection.
